The second book in this trilogy is very good.
What an ending! It‘s 1274 and there‘s a lot of betrayal in the air. Who can be trusted? Times are changing, and so are the leaders of different countries, and it seems to get worse. Peace is no longer an option and dark times are upon the world. Can‘t wait to read the last book in the trilogy!
Not as fast paced as the first one & I found Elwen to be an irritating character so I was glad when she finally died. It's a shame it doesn't pick up exactly from the end of the last book because I would like to read Will's negotiation to bury his father's body. I did like that you get different people's perspectives & stories throughout, it rounded out the characters even more. I would read it again but it felt like a set up for the final book.
