I just enjoy the hell out of these despite all the horrible problems for a modern audience.
Plugging my way through the James Bond series. I really enjoyed this one. Look forward to the next one!
#QuotsySept18 Day 1: Not sure how I feel about James Bond‘s assessment of women‘s supposedly #Meticulous driving skills.

But don‘t be fooled...this little angel had a reign of terror in the last 24 hours:
Lucius = 3
vacuum cleaner, air-con unit and motorcycle helmet = 0
I really don‘t like book James Bond!!!! I love movie James Bond, but book 007 not so much! Book James Bond is an ass and in the famous words of Sam Axe: “You know spies, a bunch of bitchy little girls.” And that is so book Bond... 😒😒😒
@Amabear #booksandshelfiesM18 Day 3 The oldest book you own. The oldest book in my bookshelf is Thunderball. I‘m a huge fan of all things Bond and the was kindly given this by a friend that ran a little antiques and tearooms. Xxxxx

The phrase Mr #kisskissbangbang was first used by an Italian journalist to describe James Bond. John Barry then used it as a song title to be the ‘Thunderball‘ theme. Both Shirley Bassey and Dionne Warwick recorded #kisskissbangbang but last minute they switched to ‘Thunderball‘ by Tom Jones.
This gorgeous coffee table book was a Birthday gift last yr and the 1961 Pan paperback was my Dads, that I rescued from a donation box!
Taking a short break from all the reading. Watching Ian Fleming documentary. This makes me want to read James Bond books. His life was so interesting and the books sound so good! #24in48
I listened to the audiobook with Jason Isaacs narrating. The first half bored me with all the technical bits so glad the second half was better.
Decided to watch Thunderball tonight, which is one of just three Ian Fleming 007 books I haven't read. I started it, but found it moved too slow. Plus I knew it was the rare Bond book that is actually similar to the film as it was based on the screenplay and not the other way around. Maybe someday I'll read it, just because I'm a completist. For now, I have the movie.
