Mehso-so

I just read this, it was a quick light read. it was OK but there were a number of elements that didn't ring true. Not the paranormal stuff! More the dialogue didn't always seem appropriate to the period.

The Lucifer Box novels by Mark Gatiss have some similarities in style and tone and are more successful in my opinion.

I liked the main character though and may well read the rest of the series
