The Dogs | 
in this book there is a boy named Cameron who is currently living with his mother, they have to keep moving because they are on the run from his dad. They move to a place called Wolf hallow, the house they are at is very creepy and he thinks its haunted. they have neighbor who owns the land that they are staying on but Cameron seems to feel scared of him because he feels off
A couple of these might be a bit more #YA than #MiddleGrade, and I‘m not sure they all have ghosts, but this seemed as good a time as any to share my October recommendation shelf.
The tagged is my favorite spooky read to recommend. For a long time the reader doesn‘t know if it‘s a ghost story or if the main character is hallucinating.

Liked the short chapters. The abusive parent storyline was very authentic and haunting.

This is a great book that I think deserves more attention, so it‘s my pick for #YA mystery/thriller! I‘ve successfully recommended it to several students.
Cameron & his mom are on the run from his abusive dad, and their story is intertwined with the mysterious disappearance of a boy many years ago.

pickI love this book!! It‘s worth reading twice! It‘s a thrilling story about a boy being able to talk to a ghost who used to live in his house.

The Dogs is my choice for a scary book that deserves more recognition. This ya novel is part ghost story and part real life terror all rolled up in one! Plus I've successfully recommended it to several junior high students.

I don't tend to read #scarybooks, but The Dogs is a very creepy story that I thought was fantastic! The rest of these are books I think apply from my class library. I would have added some books by April Henry, but they are all checked out. Anna Dressed in Blood is on my October TBR for the #ReadHarder challenge as a horror book.
