This feels arrogant, like Bloom doesn‘t so much assume the reader will get all his references (no notes anywhere) as want the reader NOT to get them all because we‘re not as smart as he. Bare bones: Bloom says there are six basic ways a poet can interact with his predecessor. I‘m not entirely sure what they all are. Starting this one this morning. Hubby had to be at work this morning at 0500, so sleeping until 0645 felt downright luxurious!
This is my #49 for January‘s #Roll100, and while it looks short it‘s Bloom, which always equals dense. I‘m a well-read, highly-educated student of literature, but Bloom always makes me feel like a remedial student. 😕So why do I keep coming back?
