This is a story about the pressures society puts on women and difficulty of being both successful at work and as a parent. When offered a pill to eliminate the guilt Maya feels as she is pulled in two directions, she takes it...but of course life is not that simple. A thriller element is introduced as Maya has gone missing, but the story is about so much more. I really enjoyed this story. Thanks to Edelweiss+ for the digital ARC. 4/5 stars
