Mehso-so

This one was definitely mediocre. The bake themed swearing sort of got on my nerves and the author gets carried away with her phrases. For example, “Claire burst out laughing, breaking the tension in his chest and somehow removing his kneecaps at the same time.†🫣 Lightly entertaining with some yummy sounding food but not great.

Texreader Yea. That‘s definitely a weird quote 17m

This was fine. Picked it up because I‘m a bake off fan and this is very bake off coded. It was fun enough. It‘s supposed to be a mystery but it definitely plays second fiddle to the romance. So if you want a romance with a “bake off†setting, try this. If you want a mystery with a “bake off†setting, there are others out there that are better. Won‘t be continuing in the series as the writing wasn‘t great and characters felt very one dimensional.

Pickpick

Claire has joined the UK‘s premier baking competition show. Her only worries are how good her bakes are, until the 1st body drops. Now, w/ a handsome viscount, she must investigate before the next competitor falls.

Charming! Loved the backdrop of Great British Bake Off w/ the serial numbers filed off. The mystery kept me guessing, & I loved all the characters! Could have done w/ less time spent on the romance, but that‘s a YMMV. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
