This book is a delight and I had so much fun reading it. I am such a Diaz fan. I've read all his stuff. And this book really explores everything about Diaz that intrigues me. This book explores Dominican history, race, Africa, gender and so much more in Diaz's work. If you haven't read all of Diaz work, I urge you to wait. Major analysis is being done here that can spoil his books. I'm going to have a major book hangover after this one.
Yeah...I'm going to love this one. I can feel it. This is analysis of Diaz's work. I believe it's the first book that does this too. I'm going to be supporting more Latino writers this year along with more works in translation. It's not a burden to support my people, it's a gift 🎁.
