I‘m not a winter person and this book is about changing your mindset about winter and the cold. Dress appropriately and enjoy winter activities and make winter cozy indoors and out. It also makes me want to visit Tromsø, Norway & Iceland, I want to experience their culture and see the Northern Lights.
Also sauna, hot-water bathing & cold-water swimming are mentioned and I‘d love to try them all!
Tried this creamer and it was delicious.

Books about winter always draw my attention because I love the season even though most hate it. This provides some good ideas and tips for enjoying the winter season more no matter where you are as well as examines how other countries (Iceland for example) survive & thrive during it and what they can help teach us about life in winter. I really enjoyed the bits about how other cultures/countries view & live during winter.

This book was able to completely change my mindset on winter and fully appreciate the beauty and benefits of the cold season. Leibowitz takes a scientific yet entertaining approach to sharing how being miserable in winter is a choice, and a mindset shift is all you need. Finding rituals that make you excited for the late afternoon darkness, taking awe walks to notice the good, the benefits of baths, and much more!
