Loved this part one memoir of Cher. If you grew up watching the Sonny and Cher show then you will love this! Of course I‘ll be reading part two…let‘s also be a movie star! There is no other diva than Cher! I would suggest listening to it on audible!:)

While I enjoyed this book, I feel it could've been edited better, to cut out some of the mundane details. I also felt a bit like she's her biggest fan. All of that aside, it held my interest and I enjoyed learning about her childhood, and how she became a star.

Longwinded but pretty good. Part one takes you through her childhood and to about age 30. It was pretty cool to hear about all the young artists crossing paths in L.A. before they were the household names they are today. And all the colorful relationships with men in her life. Cher has dyslexia, so for the audiobook Cher reads part of each chapter and the rest is narrated by Stephanie Block, the actress who won a Tony for playing Cher on Broadway.

In 1999, I was watching Cher's episode of Behind the Music. During that interview, she was asked about why she dates younger men. She responded, "If I was a man, we wouldn't even have this conversation. And that sucks out loud." In that moment, I realized the power of women when they don't give a f*** and speak their minds. From that moment on, I was obsessed.
