He finds the powers of evil, under Lord Foul the Despiser, fully unleashed and he takes the responsibility of finding a way to defeat Lord Foul.The Illearth War is a brilliant follow up to the first book, Lord Foul‘s Bane, in the trilogy, with, in my opinion, one of the great tragic heroes in the genre.
