I visited Australia in 2010, and one of the most exciting stops for me was the Royal Flying Doctor Service facility in Alice Springs. I picked up this little book there and finally read it. It gives the history of the service and is admittedly a bit dry, but the information is interesting. And the organization is amazing.
Amiable Your dog looks like a clone of my son‘s dog! How old is he/she? (edited) 11mo
Hooked_on_books @Amiable She‘s 6 going on 6 months. Any chance your son‘s dog is from a litter on the Oregon coast? 11mo
Amiable @Hooked_on_books My son‘s dog is also 6! But he got him from an animal shelter in Pensacola, Florida—someone dumped a box of puppies on their doorstep. I ask because my son is in the Marines and one of his buddies also took a puppy. They‘ve since moved to other duty stations—my son in NC, his buddy to Hawaii. I figured it was theoretically possible that your doggie could be related! 😀 It‘s really uncanny how alike they look. 11mo

Amiable @Hooked_on_books I just showed this picture to my husband and he said, “Is that Brady?” So it‘s not just me! 😄 (edited) 11mo

Hooked_on_books @Amiable what is uncanny is that less than a year after welcoming her into our household, I also moved to Hawaii, like your son‘s friend! And my dog‘s name is Bindi, so they both have B names! I love when these things happen. She came from a litter friends of ours had, so the parents are known. She‘s a mix of Great Dane, Boxer, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Mastiff, and St Bernard. She‘s tall but narrow. She‘s a great mix. 11mo
Amiable @Hooked_on_books Brady‘s sister, the pup from the litter who ended up in Hawaii, has a similar look as well. Her name is Scout, though. No B. Sadly. 😕😀 11mo
