A re-read for me. A sharply realized poignant portrait of a servant woman's life. Its sympathetic portrayal of the lower class makes this story memorable, as normally a servant's life would be forgotten.

Impulse buy yesterday at the bookshop. Sat down outside after work and read in a sitting. Sweet and profound. The story is one that will stay floating around in your mind- forever, maybe. #Novella #LitsyNYC
