I prefer hoopla for comics/graphic novels, and I‘m starting to prefer EPUB for regular books. I like knowing how many pages to the end of the chapter. What about you?

RealLifeReading Unfortunately my library doesn‘t have Hoopla. So I just use Libby 6y
Redwritinghood Love Hoopla for ebooks, audiobooks and comics. Otherwise, I use Kindle. Libby has better controls than Hoopla, but I mainly only use it for audiobooks. 6y
aprilpohren I love Kindle but have been using Scribd much more lately. Love them. I do have Hoopla and use it once in awhile. Our library just got Cloud Library and I really like that as well. 6y

Megabooks @RealLifeReading Can you choose between Kindle and EPUB in Libby? I‘ve been wary of switching from Overdrive. Right now, my library has both. 6y
Megabooks @Redwritinghood I don‘t like that they‘re are chapter breaks or any breaks at all in hoopla audiobooks. 6y
Megabooks @aprilpohren I‘ve never had scribd. From what I‘ve heard, it has a really good selection! 6y
Megabooks @aprilpohren I‘m not familiar with cloud library. 6y
SW-T I tend to like graphic novels in Hoopla, and magazines in Nook, but don‘t have a preference for ebooks. Do tend to use Libby more than Overdrive for library books though. 6y
emtobiasz I use Libby for Kindle books and audiobooks. Hoopla is great for graphic novels, and has a good audiobook selection, but their audio player isn‘t great and the entire platform is not compatible with my kindle, which is a bummer. 6y
Megabooks @SW-T I‘ve never had a nook, but I used to subscribe to The Week on my kindle. I liked it functionally, but I wasn‘t reading the magazine much, so I stopped subscribing. I need to find the difference between Overdrive and Libby and decide what to do. I have the Libby app downloaded, but I just forget to use it. 🤦🏻‍♀️ 6y
Megabooks @emtobiasz i agree. I really wish the hoopla audio player were better!!! 6y
Daisey I use Kindle for my own and Libby for most library ebooks, but generally avoid Hoopla unless it‘s my only option. However, Hoopla is my main method for reading graphic novels. I use Hoopla and Libby for audio but much prefer Libby‘s controls and settings if there‘s not a long wait list. 6y
SW-T I have an iPad mini so I use the Nook app. My husband had a Nook since you could add memory but he could only get Nook books on it. Older model though I think you could get Libby with a newer one. I like Libby because it seems like the interface and search features are simpler and more user friendly than Overdrive. Suits my preferences more. 6y
CouronneDhiver Overdrive and Kobo 😍 6y
Megabooks @Daisey totally agree about graphic novels on hoopla! I usually wait, if my library has it, for audiobooks. I have lost my place one too many times on hoopla!! 6y
Megabooks @SW-T I just downloaded the nook app to get the mueller report for free. I‘m curious to see if I like it! 👍🏻 6y
Megabooks @CouronneDhiver 👍🏻👍🏻 party 🎉 🥳 with 📚📚📖 6y
baes Kindle since I prefer their screens for reading. My iPad puts me to sleep lol 😂 I had a Scribd membership but it was very glitchy and lost my place all the time. 6y
Megabooks @baes you know, sometimes I go through these marathon reading sessions, and I wonder if a regular kindle or a paperwhite would be easier on my eyes? Would you agree with that? 6y
baes @Megabooks Yes, I love my Paperwhite. They have a light (which is adjustable) that comes on when it gets dim/dark, but otherwise reads just like paper when you have plenty of light. And I can easily read it outside with no glare, unlike iPad. I have 2, I like the one that is two years older better (it is faster), but the newest one is water resistant so I can take it pool side. Battery lasts a while too. 6y
Megabooks @baes Awesome! My mom has a Paperwhite and loves it. I‘m getting rid of my kindle fires, so maybe I‘ll invest in a paperwhite with my next gift card! 👍🏻👍🏻 I like water resistant? My iPad is old and is not. (edited) 6y

There's a lot I love about books -the way reading together lifts everyone's mood, the way the stories become part of our culture and identity as a family- but they're also just plain inspiring. Books fill in for the art invitations I used to arrange; they stir in us that happy urge to draw and to make.
