I was told to stretch my calves to help my plantar fasciitis. Enter this 66-day total body stretching journal by Habit Nest.
Each day has 3 warm-ups & 10-20 stretches + a page for notes & feelings.
I just completed day 19 & can absolutely tell a difference: decreased foot pain, increased flexibility, + better movement/less stiff.
This a soft pick b/c some of the warmup exercises are what I consider advanced + 👇🏻
wanderinglynn Plus, a couple of the stretches, even lvl 1 version, are hard on the knee joints. I had to adapt one or two of the stretches. The illustrations are sometimes hard to figure out, but there is a QR code for each day that goes to a webpage with detailed instructions of each stretch. It takes maybe 15-20 minutes to do the full day‘s stretches. 6mo
HeyT I'm still in the first week but I'm trying out the yoga sidekick journal from them. It's been okay so far. Although day 1 was a sun salutation and that felt very intense as a beginner. 6mo
wanderinglynn @HeyT that is intense for a beginner. As a former yoga teacher always said at the beginning of class: “do what your body allows. It‘s yoga practice, not yoga perfect.” That being said, I agree that Habit Nest seems to dive right into more advanced exercises without providing any alternatives. 6mo

HeyT @wanderinglynn thankfully I have some experience because I took an intro class at the local community college. I think I‘d have been lost without that foundation 6mo
thebacklistbook Typically yoga starts with foundational breathing. Benefits increase if this is known. Maybe they have another book that starts from the start. 😋 6mo
wanderinglynn @thebacklistbook they have quite a few different habit building journals, but only the one yoga one. 6mo
