Water from Dragon's Well
Water from Dragon's Well: The History of a Korean-Canadian Church Relationship | David Kim-Cragg
5 posts | 1 read
Challenging the colonial foundations of Canadian Protestantism, the century-long Korean-Canadian church relationship continues to transform the United Church of Canada's mission. This book traces the origins and consequences of this little-known tributary in Korean-Canadian history, giving voice to two distinct historical-cultural perspectives.

Singout I was a staff person at the United Church of Canada‘s justice and global partnership department for several years: I‘ve had the privilege of meeting a number of Koreans or Korean Canadians who have shared some of this history and vision with me. The author and his partner were people I met when I had that job: they continue to do amazing work. (edited) 3mo
Purpleness @Singout What an amazing job! Thanks for sharing 3mo

I am so curious now about the meaning behind putting peppers on the roof as a form of celebration/commemoration.

I am enjoying this scholarly examination of the relationship between the Korean and Canadian churches, but it really needed better editing. I‘m honestly not looking for typos, but they keep popping out at me.
