At first, I kept thinking "eh it's okay," but continued to turn the page. By the end, I look back and think, "Why did I feel that way?" A good story ?

I love books about circuses, carnivals, medical shows, etc.I can see the colors as I read.I also tend to like the characters in these types of books. They‘re generally very sincere and lovable. Most of the characters in this book lived up to my expectations. Of course, there‘s always the villain. This is the first story I were read about the 1900 Galveston hurricane. That section of the book was also very interesting. All in all, this was a great read

4✨ This author is one of my new favorites. This new book did not disappoint! The historical event was of the Galveston hurricane, and it also touched on traveling medicine shows. I love that the author brings her knowledge as a registered nurse to her stories. I also like that the main character has flaws that she tries to work through.
