A great book for spooky season. I was getting impatient for the last season of Stranger Things and this scratched my itch.

A great book for spooky season. I was getting impatient for the last season of Stranger Things and this scratched my itch.
I‘ve been eagerly awaiting Stranger Things Season 5 so when I heard about this book I knew I had to read it- supernatural elements, mysterious disappearances, set in Indiana- I was in of course. It didn‘t disappoint. Lost Man‘s Lane definitely scratched my Stranger Things itch.
A perfect day for book mail delivery! I purchased a signed copy of Scott Carson‘s Lost Man‘s Lane from The Poisoned Pen, an independent bookseller, in Scottsdale, Arizona. I would love to have attended the author event but I‘m grateful to have such a beautiful signed first edition.
For those of you who don‘t know, Scott Carson is a pen name for Michael Koryta.
This is exactly my kind of spooky story! Carson deftly grounds this supernatural story in the reality of Bloomington, IN in 1999. Marshall Miller gets his driver‘s license and from there, the next twelve months take a dark strange turn in his life and in the world‘s. It opens a bit slowly, but I appreciated the extra depth this gives the characters and the richer setting. I absolutely loved it! If you‘re scared of snakes, you may want to skip it!
