Stand: Soul Survivors
Stand: Soul Survivors | Stephen King, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa
4 posts | 5 read
Nick Andros has hit the road & teamed up with the child-like Tom Cullen. After the horrors of Captain Trips, a bike trip through Oklahoma & Nebraska sounds like fun, right? Except it's tornado season, & not everyone Nick & Tom meet is on the side of the angels. Hell hath no fury like Julie Lawry, another survivor of the plague.

The graphics are getting a little more cartoonish but the story is a lot better than the illustrations. In this volume, we read how the Trashcan man get to Vegas to meet Flagg, Mother Abigail disappears, the main characters form a ad hoc committee and we see Harold getting worse with his mind. Love the story and will continue with the graphic novel series.

TieDyeDude Nice. I have the full series, but I haven't started it yet. I only just read the book a couple years ago, wanted a little distance before diving back into that world. 8mo

So happy I picked this back up to read again. This volume is basically the group walking towards finding Mother Abigail and the trials and tribulations they go through to get there. Graphics are amazing and of course the story is as well.

Reading this as we're under a tornado watch... well, at least I don't have to deal with Flagg! #LetsGetGraphicWeeklongMarathon #StayAwayTornado
