Posting this here but I‘m selling this Goldsboro special edition of The Night Ends with Fire by K.X Song, it‘s never been read, I don‘t like or care for Romantasy, it‘s a Mulan retelling. My daughter shattered her phone and she needs it replaced but I don‘t have the extra money to do that and she needs a phone because of her Cheer activities
I‘m look for $50, this covers what I paid PLUS shipping US only.
People have strong opinions about this one! While the author didn‘t distinguish her story inspired by Mulan from the Disney version as much as she likely wanted to, she did add a new twist to the dragons, a question about the price of ambition, and a love triangle. Occasionally dense but almost always entertaining, I enjoyed this book even if I can‘t say it was a great one. Reads more YA than adult but generally a quick, fun read. Soft pick.
My next read is inspired by Mulan and has a really gorgeous book design.
Fairyloot is very blue in July. I got my adult fantasy and romantasy boxes the same day - The Night Ends with Fire and The Wren in the Holly Library.
Here are two other beauties that came out today! 🥰 You can't tell from this picture, but both of them have absolutely gorgeous page edges!
Obsidian is the first book in a series that actually came out quite a few years ago, but I think they are now being rereleased through a traditional publisher! 💕📚
This novel is all about ambition and power – what would you do to get it and what would it cost you – were very central to the plot and character motivations.
Meilin leaves her family to join the army out ambition and a desire for autonomy. She wants to find a place for herself and not be defined by the men around her. A dangerous ambition as a competent woman in the realm of men upsets the social order.

First book I've requested from #Netgalley
I've avoided requesting any books because I feel pressured to read and review them quickly 😂 I really wanted to read this one though and thankfully I got approved!
Already 25% in and loving it!
Inspired by the Mulan story, a corrupt nobleman's daughter is used as a political pawn, forcing the young girl to flee across China during 923 AD. Disguising herself as a male soldier, she enlists in one of the armies involved in the Three Kingdom War where she encounters magic, romance, bravery, honor, and gender politics in this epic read.
