Remi Hayes is beginning to think she's cursed-her fianc cheated on her, her brother Jude is a major pain in her ass, and the moldering mansion she inherited from her uncle might just be haunted. Flipping Blackleaf Manor already feels impossible, even before Remi is blackmailed by Dane Covett, the dangerously hot doctor-next-door, and Grimstone's most eligible bachelor-if you can ignore the fact that everyone in town thinks he murdered his wife. Remi doesn't want to believe it, especially after Dane sews up a gash in her thigh and steals a kiss in payment-a kiss that makes it hard to walk for reasons that have nothing to do with an injured leg. But as the renovation takes a strange and violent turn, Remi must decide if Dane is the one haunting her nights, or if he's trying to protect her from something much worse... Lark Notes: Halloween is my favorite! I get such a thrill out of writing a spooky, dark book at this time of year. Remi and Dane are two deeply damaged people with skeletons in their closets. It's only when they meet each other that they finally find the connection and acceptance that allows them to move on from their dark pasts. I fell in love with the gothic beach town of Grimstone, and will be writing a dark romance set there each autumn. - Sophie "Grimstone" is a deeply dark contemporary romance and a complete standalone. Reader beware: it has extremely spicy scenes and triggering content not suitable for all.

Mehso-so

The actual plot of this one‘s pretty interesting, and I didn‘t see the twist coming, but the intimacy is just so awkward it was tough to muster the will to keep reading.

I joined the Kindle bandwagon and I couldn‘t be happier. The glare on my iPad was killing my eyes. And it made it almost impossible to read outside. But now I need Kindle Unlimited recommendations. Drop a few of your favorites in the comments.

AmandaBlaze You can also get ebooks from your library through Libby to put on your Kindle. Most libraries have Darcy Coates in ebook form. As for KU, there's the Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells. I'm reading the YA series Skeleton Creek right now. 10mo
LiseWorks That's the only thing about a Kindle or tablet reading outside. The sun also makes the tablets super hot, and then it shuts down on you. 10mo
Flaneurette It‘s a slippery slope! I now have 11 ereaders 😆, not including my iPads. Obviously I love mine and hop you do too! 10mo

wildwoodreads @Flaneurette Oh wow that‘s an impressive number. Which one is your fave? And I‘m loving mine too so I could see that happening to me too. 😂 10mo
wildwoodreads @LiseWorks Yep! My iPad did that all the time. Thanks to Alabama summers 😅 10mo
wildwoodreads @AmandaBlaze I hadn‘t thought of that! I use Libby for audiobooks but it didn‘t cross my mind about ebooks for some reason! 10mo
