Apparently I started a new series the wrong way round. 😂 This is book 3.5 in the Dr Greta Helsing series. It was a daily deal on Audible and gave it a go since it sounded interesting. It was good! Guess I‘ll go back to book one and start the series properly.

Greta & Varney are at a loss when a barrow-wight living nearby brings them a mysterious, forcibly turned vampire child. Fortunately, they have a whole paranormal community to lean on to find out what happened.

Wow! I had forgotten how much I love the humor, the characterizations, the sly references to other stories. 4 new lady characters, & a story about community. An absolute delight, w/ a surprise cameo that made me cackle in glee. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗

Sace I need to go back to this series and give it the attention it deserves. I listened to the first book on audio. Loved the concept but never went back to it for some reason. 6mo

I have *very* mixed feelings about this.

I really enjoyed the first two, and the narrator is amazing! But I didn‘t like the ending of Grave Importance, and I don‘t know how Shaw could continue off of that.

Hmmm… cautiously optimistic maybe? Definitely going to be a library book.
