I am less enamoured of fighter jets than I am of space travel, so this was a slog. I have so little time for pleasure reading these days that I can‘t spend it on books I‘m not enjoying.

Bk2 of #WinterGames is done. A bit of a slow start so far but I‘ll get there. Loved his 2nd book, another featuring Kaz Zeimekas, a former Top Gun turned NASA Mission Control after losing an eye in an accident. Kaz is in Israel at the start of the Yom Kippur War when hes involved in an incident,a Russian plane is shot down. But the plane lands safely & the pilot wants to defect to the US. A bit predictable but a great read. #TeamEvergreen 3876pts👇
Currently reading this Cold War thriller by one of the US‘s most famous recent astronauts. The one who sang Space Oddity on the ISS. A signed edition, a former test pilot, he even drew a plane outline✈️I love that an astronaut has touched my book👨🏻🚀 #WinterGames #TeamEvergreen 1pt
This is the 2nd book in 'The Apollo Murders' series, Hadfield is an accomplished test pilot and astronaut whose career included a visit to Mir and two stays at ISS, so he knows about what he writes. I also enjoyed how much of the story was based on actual events. The novel is very technical and I wanted to feel more of an emotional connection to the characters, but it was still a riveting thriller and I look forward to more in the series. 4/5!
