June #wrapup

It was a good reading month. Some humorous books, some series love books and 1 DNF, South of Broad. Favorites of the month was Paper Hearts and The Ghosts of Rose Hill.

This is a really sweet, funny, quirky book. Highly recommend listening on audio because Jarvis Cocker is as lovely and charming as ever.

Next up

This is one of the funniest books I‘ve read in a while. And I highly recommend the audiobook. I think Richard Ayoade is one of the funniest comedians so I was laughing and delighted pretty much the whole book.

I couldn‘t help hearing Ayoade‘s voice in my head while reading this cute, humorous children‘s book. Full of meta elements (it‘s a book written by a book) and clever illustrations, I feel like I would have loved this book as a child. As an adult, I enjoyed its sly tone and sense of humor.

Hahaha, I really wanted to not like this book but I'm laughing already:
"Top Five Things That Grate My Gears.
1. People who turn the page back to save their place. Have these savages not heard of novelty bookmarks? Or paper? Or 'memory'? Which part of your body would you most like to have folded back on itself?"
