Interesting
Finished this quick and easy read last night. I thought it was going to be totally meaningless, then it gained a serious component, then it lost me with a comment about a character one-upping cancer with diabetes. 🤔 If that comment had been made before I had only two chapters left, I just might have bailed.
I feel like this is one of those books that won't be surprising or anything emotional... But that I hope is an entertaining ride anyway.
"I was diagnosed with a severe anxiety disorder when I was eight years old and couldn't go on escalators because I knew I would fall and the escalator would chew me up." Caitlin understands my fear of escalators. Love this book already.
So excited to start this book! If E. Lockhart raved about it, it must be good!
3/5⭐️I kind of viewed this like reading an SNL skit. It's sarcastic, religious satire, and basically air headed. That being said, I actually couldn't put the book down for the first 160 pages and was up late promising myself only one more chapter…before reading another. As long as you're in the mood for this, it's a pretty fun, quick read.
It's All Your Fault is a hilarious skewering of Hollywood, religion, family relationships and YA tropes. There are too many hilarious one liners and comebacks in this book to count. Warning, it will make you laugh out loud, read in public at your own risk!
