Two snow days this week meant I had loads of time to read this fascinating book about an aging poet collaborating with AI to write a poem.

TheBookHippie Pretty!! 12mo
kspenmoll Beautiful photo! Interesting about a poet using AI. we had a student using AI today to write a reflection that was obviously on a college level. It‘s a problem in high schools. 12mo
TheLudicReader Haha, @kspenmoll , I had a student pass in a reflection on happiness that started with something like, “As I am a machine, I have no personal feelings about happiness” and the student still denied using AI. 🤦‍♀️ 12mo

A renowned poet is asked by a big tech firm to collaborate on a poem with Charlotte, an AI writing program, in exchange for a large chunk of cash.
She stays a week in a hotel in California, observing her surroundings, writing poems with Charlotte and thinking back to a life dedicated to poetry.

The book is not critical or judgmental about the possibility of AI infiltrating the arts but creates a tender portrait of a unique woman and her poetry.

squirrelbrain Great review. I‘m still obsessed with that cover. 1y
