I‘ve been SO busy at work I didn‘t have time until today and didn‘t remember until today to look up my #bookspin and #doublespin reads for March!

Weirdly Nancy Drew has been picked 2 months in a row!

Did a #buddyread with my bestie for this one. We haven‘t discussed it in its entirety yet but I‘m kinda disappointed how this turned out. We‘d read Fourth Wing and weren‘t fans, but thought this might be better. I liked most of the characters much better, but the general plot and narrative was lacking so much depth. I think the ideas were mostly great but the author didn‘t go deep enough. Didn‘t feel much suspense/drama

This was pretty good. Interesting worldbuilding and fun characters. I like banter, but this book was bordering on too much for me. I also felt like the middle part dragged. Maybe because I was waiting for the heist part of the book, which doesn't come until the very end. So soft pick and I do plan on picking up the next book when it comes out.

I'm still in a fantasy mood, so starting this book tonight.

This is a soft pick for me. I thoroughly enjoyed the camaraderie and banter between the main characters. The plot had some major holes that should have been tightened up by an editor.

A pet peeve I‘ve discovered this year is when publishing companies pick up self published books and don‘t bother to edit them. I get that the original version sold, but with a little tweaking the updated version would sell even better.

I enjoyed this adventure in Romansy.
Strong heroine, a bit of an arrogant (but sweet) hero, deadly monsters, great banter, and oh yeah, dragons (although I think we‘ll see more of them in the next book).
Just a heads up, there is physical, mental and emotional abuse for the heroine to endure at a young age.
Looking forward to the next outing. 4/5⭐️

Had a Dr appt an hour away yesterday, so took advantage and also stopped at Barnes and Noble. Found another edition of Persuasion that I don't have yet. Also got Fear the Flames and a pretty edition of The Do-Over with sprayed edges.

Go read it. Dragons, romance, and both MCs kick ass. I can‘t explain how much it hooked me. 5 ⭐️

Elowen escaped her father‘s prison as a young girl with the aid of her uncle, and founded a new kingdom for lost souls on the way to freedom. Her need for revenge has her allying with the commander of a rival army to get her 5 dragons back.
Slow burn but so much romance. There is hardly a time when the MCs are parted.
