Locavore's Handbook
Locavore's Handbook: The Busy Person's Guide to Eating Local on a Budget | Leda Meredith
1 post | 1 read
Leda Meredith offers practical, down-to-earth advice as she guides foodies, home cooks, and anyone else interested in the locavore movement through the process of incorporating locally grown foods into meals. Drawing from her own locavore experience, she discusses budgeting; sourcing, growing, and preserving food; shopping efficiently; and supporting local merchants and planet Earth. Everyone, including time-pressed, cash-strapped urbanites with mini-refrigerators and zero storage space, will find inspiration and a host of helpful ideas.

Pickpick

I devoured this book the way my grandson devours broccoli. Lots of useful advice (although more NYC centric than I could have asked) with recipes and resources for further reading. This is one I see myself referring to again and again.

AmyG My grandson loves broccoli too. Ha! 1y
Lcsmcat @AmyG Isn‘t it a delight to watch them trying new foods? His face when he tried his first raspberry was amazing. 1y
AmyG Ha! Absolutely! 1y
