This was so sweet. YA romantsy that isn't overkill on the romance, or violence. I loved it and hope it's going to be a series. Highly recommended!

This book was a lot more emotional than I was expecting (granted it might be because I‘m currently sick and sniffing constantly already🫠). It was mostly due to the characters, because they were the aspect of this book that I enjoyed the most. I could relate to the characters, laugh with them and generally appreciate the way they were written. The book also brought lots of humour which was a great touch.

“There‘s more than one kind of love, you know,” Hapless said. “We don‘t have to love her in the same way in order to both love her.”
“Why would you say that? Why would you tempt fate?”
“Fate has no power over me.”
I‘m not a romantic.
Are you certain?
“There‘s beauty in permanence, too, isn‘t there?”
“You mean…buildings and monuments and such?”
“I suppose. Though those sorts of things can still fall.”
“What‘s something truly permanent then? Love?”
“I may in fact be the worst magic scholar who ever existed.”
Aurelie smiled a little. “Well. At least you exist.”
I haven't been able to participate in this event before, so I'm excited for #CampLitsy23 !! Not sure if I will be able to read all six books, but I will try to jump in for at least a couple of them. Here are my nominations!!
