Great way to start the day -winning a Goodreads giveaway! First one in probably a year or so. Tagged book is what I won. Ironically the other of her books I've read was also a GR giveaway, which I enjoyed.#GoodreadsGiveaway
This was my top pick for March with “The Words We Lost” coming in a close second.
Inspired by the true story of Arabella Huntington, this is an amazing saga of one woman‘s struggle, strength, resilience, determination and cunning to overcome any obstacles and not just survive but conquer. The main character Belle is a marvel to behold.

I started this in April. Did not finish it. Put it on the back burner…way on the back burner. And just now finished it and enjoyed it!

I have long been a fan of #shanaabe and as a result I automatically purchase her books. This is set during the gilded age, one of my favorite time periods. She brings to life not only the time period but the woman this book centers around. Solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read!
Inspired by the true story of Arabella Huntington (the wealthiest woman in the US at one point), this spans her life from age 17 to 63 (1867-1913). Rising from extreme poverty in Alabama it‘s an amazing saga of one woman‘s struggle, strength, resilience, determination and cunning to overcome any obstacles and not just survive but conquer. I loved this book! Belle is a marvel to behold with a brilliance at odds with her humble origins. No details🔻
