I love vacationing in Key West and enjoy reading cozy mysteries, so I was eager to try this series. The murder mystery was good, and the characters were likable. I appreciate that the story didn‘t have the cheesy, immature tone like some cozy mysteries. At less than five hours on audio, it‘s a pretty quick read. I liked this book, but I didn‘t love it. I‘m on the fence if I will continue to read the series.

KathyWheeler I finished the series and enjoyed it. It‘s not the best series ever, but I liked the characters and setting. And because they‘re so short, I listened to them as my nighttime books. 5mo
NatalieR @KathyWheeler Seems like a great plan for listening to this series. I appreciate the short length. Definitely makes reading the series a possibility for me. 5mo
KathyWheeler @NatalieR yeah — if the books had been longer, I might not have continued. (edited) 5mo

Pickpick

This was a light, fun, fluffy, short listen. Exactly what I needed. I liked the characters and the setting in Key West. Not so sure I care for what might be a love triangle, but that‘s a small thing. #audiowalk The picture on the top left wasn‘t on my walk; it‘s a view of Mobile out of a downtown restaurant window. I met some friends there for happy hour, and I liked the view.

Eva runs a B&B in the Florida Keys and also hosts a weekly murder mystery book club. When a body turns up by her B&B she is keen to apply all the knowledge she was gained from her book club to find the killer. I love cozy mysteries, but found myself unable to get into this one. I did not care for any of the characters and found the parrot sidekick annoying.
