Achim’s Story: A Novel Based on the Early Eventful Life of Joachim Wedekind zur Horst | 
Bettina Spicer Owens was the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Information technology at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans before retiring and writing her first novel, Achim‘s Story. She has lived in New Jersey, Georgia, Virginia, Florida, Rhode Island, Holland, and the New Orleans area where she now resides. She and Joachim worked for years collating information for his memoir which she used to write this book.
