#ReadAway2024 #SeriesLove2024 An enjoyable new-to-me fantasy series. Jinx became a private investigator at a young age to find out who murdered her parents. Now with an established business, she still hasn‘t answered that question. But she does learn that she is a wizard, that her parents were wizards, and that her pet Great Dane is really a Hell Hound. And that‘s just the first chapter. Recommended.

I just started this audiobook and I‘m hoping the foolishness of calling a ginormous dog “Gatto” or “Gato” will be revealed soon. Because in Italian and Spanish it means “cat.” Otherwise I‘m enjoying the book.

Just finished Glimmer of Other, Book 1 of The Other Realm. I took a chance on the 4-book series during an audible sale & it paid off. I liked book 1.

Jessica “Jinx” Sharp is a smart, cool-headed heroine. Yes, she has some baggage (who doesn‘t), but she uses her brain and stays cool in a crisis. The world building is solid, as Jinx learns, we learn. I‘m curious to see where book 2 goes.
