I‘m suffering from a head cold so I‘ve been finishing off some cloudLibrary ebooks. Historical #romantsy novels are easy to read and a guaranteed happy ending. This one really held my attention a survivor of torture by Napoleon ‘s army and a survivor of spousal abuse meet and fall in love. Naturally there are bumps and drama. 👍💚

So cute, I almost died. For real. With Burrows, I think I'm learning that I have to be in a specific mood and that mood lasts a specific window of time. It's a good book, but it's so formulated, you have to want/need that kind of book in the moment. Which I did!On the last of this series now and it's been great, but I'm done for now. Sweet book, and connected to the Windhams!
