Hollywood 1942. When attorney Audra Schaeffer's sister disappears, Audra flies to Hollywood to find her but instead must identify her body. Set in Hollywood during WWII, the bright lights of reachable fame are contrasted with the dark, desperate dealings that run rampant under the glitz and glamor. I had not known about The Hollywood Victory Caravan so it was fun to learn about this endeavor and to imagine with the author what a second caravan with B-list acts might have looked like, as danger lurks and stalks.
