I'm in Zion National Park this weekend! We did a crazy intense hike today. I found this great book in the Visitor Center, it's a collection of essays and stories over history about the park. I love finding book souvenirs! #bookcation

LeeRHarry Beautiful! 💕 7y
lynneamch Had a chance to do Zion, Bryce, Arches, and Grand canyons a couple of years ago. Amazing, right? A friend recommended Antelope Canyon, too, but we didn't get there. May have to go back some day. Enjoy! 7y
[DELETED] 3803335244 I live in Utah! We are Northern now but lived in St George for awhile. Just visited Zion a few weeks ago. The Emerald pools are our favorite. 7y

OhNoMersault How was the weather. I just did a long national park road trip but skipped Utah because of the unforgiving August weather. 7y
Alicia @lynneamch antelope canyon is beautiful!! We just did Zion because I'm lucky enough that it's a weekend trip. There is so much to see here! 7y
Alicia @ForeverNerdy that's amazing! I've heard Northern Utah is also beautiful! We did Observation Point which was such a hard hike but beautiful. St. George must have been a great place to live! So close to so much! 7y
Alicia @OhNoMersault it was perfect thank god! Three years ago we tried to come and we're actually totally rained out and stuck in the park for hours! The weather can be super dangerous this time of year. 7y
[DELETED] 3803335244 It was a great place to live but so hot! I love the changing seasons in the North. Less hot here but in driving distance like you said to so much. I do miss my friends in St George & Cedar City (45 min north of st george). There is a great pizza place in St George called Pier 49, if you are still there. I can't eat gluten anymore & I miss there pizza. 😊 7y
Alicia @ForeverNerdy thank you so much! I'm already back home (I'm in AZ so close) but I will have to try when I go back. I love Cedar City! I went there to snowboard at Brian Head, which is probably my fav resort! Im hoping to go again this winter if the fire didn't cause it to close.. 7y

Anyone have any recommendations for road trip-suitable audiobooks set in Utah, Wyoming, or Montana? Fiction or non. :)

GinaAnderson Beautiful. What about The Sisters Brothers? 8y
SusanInTiburon I think mysteries make the miles go faster. Craig Johnson's Longmire series is set in Wyoming, and Tony Hillerman's Joe Leaphorn series extends up from New Mexico into southern Utah. You can find some of both on Audible narrated by George Guidall, who is very good. 8y
SusanInTiburon Also, John McPhee's Rising from the Plains is a gorgeous exploration of Wyoming, both current and geographical history. Not familiar with the audio version but I loved it in print. 8y

Lindy Set partly in Montana, one audiobook you might consider is 8y
Christine @GinaAnderson - Ooh yes, Western setting and on my TBR anyway! 8y
Christine @SusanInTiburon - Thank you so much for all of those wonderful ideas! Great point re: mysteries, too. 8y
Christine @Lindy - Great suggestion, thank you! 8y
Kristio The Hour of Land by Terry Tempest Williams! The language is so lovely and it's all about national parks!!! 8y
Christine Great idea, @Kristio , thanks!! 8y
