A family of witches and a goblin market that arrives every year. I loved this book so so so much, it was one of those reads where I wanted to live inside the book along the characters and just be a part of the story. I want every book by Tori Bovalino!!!

Steer clear of the Goblin Market. It's a warning May didn't head and now, nearly two decades later her niece and much younger sister are repeating her mistakes. But what exactly happened in the market to force May and her sister from Yorkshire? And what awaits the younger generation now that they are venturing into the market themselves. A wonderfully dark fairy tale.

This retelling of The Goblin Market was really great. It's dark, with some very terrifying moments and characters that are as dark and complex as the setting.

I'll admit, I'm not familiar with the original poem this is based on, but so many other fairy tale stories use versions of The Goblin Market that it wasn't hard to follow. However, now I'm really interested in reading the original.

🎧 I enjoyed this take on Goblin Market. There‘s some pretty gruesome moments! The goblin market will lure you in, entice you with what you desire most when in reality it‘s hell on earth.

There are two stories told in dual time lines. Couple decades apart. Magic exists. MCs May Wicket & Lou, her niece. The Goblin Market is something their families attempt to shield them from.
