A DEAD WOLF A DRUG DEAL GONE WRONG A LETHAL FEMALE ASSASSIN The first book in a new series by Hans Rosenfeldt, creator of the TV series The Bridge as well as Netflixs Emmy Awardwinning Marcella. Hannah Wester, a policewoman in the remote northern town of Haparanda, Sweden, finds herself on the precipice of chaos. When human remains are found in the stomach of a dead wolf, Hannah knows that this summer wont be like any other. The remains are linked to a bloody drug deal across the border in Finland. But how did the victim end up in the woods outside of Haparanda? And where have the drugs and money gone? Hannah and her colleagues leave no stone unturned. But time is scarce and they arent the only ones looking. When the secretive and deadly Katja arrives, unexpected and brutal events start to pile up. In just a few days, life in Haparanda is turned upside down. Not least for Hannah, who is finally forced to confront her own past.

Mehso-so

What I like: Fast-paced; strong female characters. What makes it so-so: story is ok, but not great; gory gruesome murders. I loved The Bridge and Rosenfeld was the creator of the show. Cry Wolf is more action than crime mystery. Not really my genre.

Pickpick

I tried this Scandinavian crime novel on a whim after seeing a random bookstagrammer's recommendation (lol) and it was pretty good! A lot of moving parts and people to keep track of, but once I got into the rhythm I quickly kept the pages turning. A drug deal gone bad with snowballing repercussions, an assassin sent to find and retrieve the goods by any means necessary, and the police doing their best to unravel the whole mess first. 3.5⭐️

Reggie In a game called name that book, this sounds a lot like No Country for Old Men. 3y
swishandflick @Reggie Ha! I've actually never seen it 🤭 3y
