This was good!! I really enjoyed big parts of it while some things were a bit slow or repetitive. It maybe didn't need to be so long, but I really enjoyed the art heist aspect as well as the historical references. Very cool!

You know.. I listened to this one on audio, and I wish it had been shorter. It just felt like it could have been edited more. The story was interesting, and then I got bored. I know a lot folks are loving this one- maybe I would have more had I read it in print instead.
Page turning? Yes. Stolen art during WWII intrigue? Yes. Summer read? Yes.
Though engaging, I felt that the prose was so plot driven, characters were not developed thoroughly and portions were unbelievable. Fun read, but flawed.
Cabin days call for reading in the hammock during little man‘s nap time 📖 I loved this book and it is one of the best I‘ve read in a while!
This one was recommended to me by a bookseller and I‘m always down to read a recommendation. OMG! So good. It‘s a historic/thriller combination with so much going on it‘s hard to say anything without giving anything away. Just know this is a page turner and you won‘t want to put the book down!
There is so much to this story. I‘m halfway through, and am ticked off that I have to stop and make dinner. Who needs food???
I haven't posted a cataloging cart in a while. Here's what I'm adding to the library's collection this week.
This book combines two of my favourite genres, thriller and historical fiction, and does it very well. This is an action filled, clever thriller set in present day with flashes back to Nazi era Germany. It ensconces you in the both the art world and the work of a journalist, rounded out with a bit of romance. I thoroughly enjoyed it and gave it 4.5/5 stars. I would love to see a sequel where the main character takes on another investigation.
