The author's son addresses the extensive shift in theme and character which helped me stick through to the end. The subject matter was interesting and I liked the way the character realistically morphed according to the influence of political and religious zealotry; it's sobering how relevant it is for today's world. I just couldn't help but hope for the book to hurry up and end. I definitely need a long wait before tackling the next.

Good story. Follows Paul & his sister's power moves with govt and religion, while a plot against pregnant Chani keeps unfolding. Paul eventually accepts his fate which ensures his children's future, which will not include him seemingly

About 1/3 through this. Not as into it as I was the first one...but willing to stick it out!

thelastmabelcorn Sadly I felt the same way, at least it‘s shorter than the first 3y
PrezBookster I heard it was originally written in segments for a magazine so maybe that‘s why the flow is off. I felt the same about this one. 3y
