Danny Goldstein has always lived in the shadow of his identical, twin brother Sam. But when a hurricane of events forces him into the spotlight, he starts to realize that the only thing he's truly afraid of is himself. With the help of his costume changing friend Cher, a famous gay uncle with a mysterious past of his own, two aging punk rocker parents and Rusty, the boy who will become his something to live for, Danny begins to realize that the music of the heart is truly the soundtrack for living.

This was going to be a #bookspinbingo read this month but now it‘s a DNF. Also a Did Not Start.

The book is no longer in print from its small, Indy press, there‘s no audio version and no library copy. At $700+ dollars for a copy, I am going to have to pass!

KathyWheeler Did you ask your library about getting it through interlibrary loan? It‘s not in a huge number of libraries but it‘s owned by some who might be willing to lend it. It‘s also listed as available through Hoopla and Overdrive (if you don‘t mind ebooks), but really what‘s available to you through those services depends on your library. 4y
TiminCalifornia @KathyWheeler Good thoughts. I'm not interested enough to go through the extra trouble for the interlibrary loan. My library doesn't have Hoopla access which has often disappointed me. It does have an ebook service which I have used but this book wasn't available. Not familiar with Overdrive. 4y
KathyWheeler @TiminCalifornia I totally get it. I have to be really interested in something to bother with ILL, and I work in a library! 4y

💙💚Love this cover ❤️💛 So far it‘s really cute and lighthearted although there are some tragic elements. Definitely out of my wheelhouse of what I typically read, but I needed something like this right now. #beautifulbooks
