Mod Sun has his own take on the world. In Did I Ever Wake Up? the drummer-turned-rapper offers his advice on how to succeed in life, just as he's done. Born and raised in Minnesota, Mod's philosophy is about pulling up your bootstraps and taking control of your existence. No one can do it for you. Like he says in Chapter 6, "There's no such thing as hard." Positive thinking can provide the impetus to do great things. Reading this book is one big step in that direction.

Did I Ever Wake Up?: A Book | Mod Sun

I didn't like Mod Sun's music but it started to grow on me from his lyrics & positive attitude. Lately his music is what I listen to most & it helps my mood stay positive. I purchased his books & read the entire thing as soon as it landed on my porch steps. It was a nice short look at Mod Sun & why he's so positive. I'm realistic on the optimist pessimist scale & will stay that way but he still helps bring out the optimistic points of life.
