It has been years since I read a book of poetry.
Why I stepped away, I don't know.
But this collection was the perfect book to bring me back to the beauty of poems.

My last (and 100th) read of 2021. Honestly, one of the best poetry collections I've read. Examining loneliness, love, isolation, grief, mental and physical illness, family, and nature.
My last book of 2021 is also my 100th! 🎉🎉🎉 A beautiful, heartfelt book of poetry written during lockdown.
First up for 2022 is a #NewYearWhoDis selection 😁

I LOVE YOU, CALL ME BACK is a heartfelt collection of poems ruminating on grief, living with mental illness, friendships, and family. Benaim wrote this over the course of a month back in lockdown which is impressive. I loved how she combined so many poetic styles in this collection. It contributed to how I connected with the themes and I felt gave me the ability to see into her grief and metal state that much more. #bookreview #poetry #canlit
