The story follows the book, that‘s a plus. I liked the little extras they threw in. The books start with case notes and the graphic novel takes it another step and adds in excerpts from files on key characters. This is also a plus. I wasn‘t impressed with the art in the book, though. That makes this less than a pick. I recommend the book over the graphic novel unless you have a reluctant reader. #fowladay (I didn‘t want the photos to be spoilers)

LibrarianRyan Thanks. I'm getting closer! I'm trying to catch up. I'm not letting myself start another book until I get at least book 1 completed!! 7y

Extra content! I don‘t recall this from the book. I would remember, I think. I did just finish it. The page is about Centaurian (Centaur language, oldest form of writing) and Centaurs, which humans have mostly hunted to extinction (unicorns are extinct because of us, go figure).

I finished the second book and now I‘m reading the corresponding graphic novel. I don‘t know that I care for how Artemis is drawn. There‘s little distinction between him and elves, pixies, etc. Also the book spends a lot of time pointing out how he‘s still a boy and how other characters are sometimes reminded of that. I don‘t see how that‘s going to happen if this is how he‘s depicted. #fowladay

LibrarianRyan I don't like his look either. 7y
readinginthedark Also, his head is noticeably too big for him... 7y

I don't have a review for every book I've ever read.
