pickI thoroughly enjoyed this novella and appreciated the references to well-known haunted houses. I found the protagonists to be likable characters and was rooting for their marriage. The narrative was well-crafted and effectively conveyed a sense of suspense.

I liked the story/narration. It's a light mystery/not scary. The author did a great job with similes/descriptions. I didn't like the ending, though. I was hoping for a better twist. Overall, a good book.
*Some commented on the Audible page asking for trigger warnings. Not spoiling it, but there are mentions of a religious procedure or rituals that may offend/scare/anger a religious/believer person.
