I loved this enjoyable history of how 12 statues of “Great Men” were toppled. It‘s a wondrous examination of how history is alive and an open discourse on meaning and values! ⭐️
This book discusses various toppled statues by placing them in their historical context, both their raising and their toppling. Some corners of history I knew comparatively little about are covered!
I'm finding it surprisingly slow going for something I'm enjoying, though. Oh well.
