After reading Cabin in the Woods I decided to continue on an Anderson marathon. Although not as good, this story was pretty decent. A honeymoon on a deserted island away from it all sounds perfect right? It sure starts out that way but a few days in Lauren and Liam realize they are not alone on the island. Crazy plot, maybe a little unbelievable but still an entertaining quick read that takes your mind away from everything else.

This was a book that I needed! It was simple to follow, kept my attention, and was a quick read. I figured out things pretty early but didn‘t know the how‘s and why‘s. It was entertaining! 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

I finished my first book of the year. It was okay, it had it's moments. I'm using this for the "house" prompt for #ISpyBingo.

This was my last book of 2022 & the 1st of Alderson‘s books! I was pleasantly surprised by the twists and turns of the plot. The suspense in the first part was legitimate & the intensity of what Laura & Liam are going through on the island. The twist about 2/3rds of the way through really got me & made me give it 4 stars. It‘s an enjoyable read & I would like to read more of the author‘s books!

I usually love a good domestic suspense novel but this one had me gritting my teeth at the main characters. The setting was great, the premise was great, but the actual characters were not well-written. By the time the end rolled around (which explained why the characters were acting as they did) I found I didn't care anymore. I would recommend this to new thriller readers who may not be put off by a predictable ending and tropey characters.
