I've just finished Magma, a novella by Icelandic author Thora Hjörleifsdóttir, about the downward spiral of a young woman, just starting university, in thrall to her arsehole, manipulative, older boyfriend. It was short and hard-hitting, and very depressing, as books about abusive relationships tend to be.
(To cheer myself up, I chose to post a photo of Reykjavik rather than the book's cover)
