The narrative moves from Punjab to Canada, the US, Europe and Delhi, looking to sift the truth from the political obfuscation and opportunism, examining the role that the ruling party allegedly played, and the heart-rending violence that devoured thousands of innocent lives in its aftermath.

This is a good book to read for people interested in knowing the tragedy that unfolded in Punjab during the 80s. It was not simply a law & order issue. From RAW‘s spy‘s eye and the author, it was a political game plan and oneupmanship that went horribly wrong culminating in death of thousands. A good book for political historians and people sharing similar tastes like me.
