Metalocalypse: Dethklok | Eric Powell, Lucas Marangon, Jeremy Barlow, Jon Schnepp, Brendon Small
2 posts
From the depths of Mordhaus comes Dethklok, the most brutal black metal band on the planet, cutting a ferocious swath through the world''s economies and playing massive shows that leave their unwaveringly loyal fans literally in pieces — they are five men prophesied to bring about the Metalocalypse! Dethklok is based on the wildly popular Adult Swim series! With stories conjured by series creator Brendon Small and series director/designer Jon Schnepp, this most brutal of all mini-series is scripted by Jeremy Barlow (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Supersized) and illustrated by Lucas Marangon (Star Wars: Tag and Bink Are Dead). Includes the never-before-collected Dethklok Versus The Goon, by Eric Powell, Brendon Small, and Dave Stewart.

I mostly listen to variations of metal but mostly metalcore. These are the songs I added most recently. I find most of my new music either through suggestions on Spotify, tiktok or through friends.

TieDyeDude My younger brother is the metal fan in the family. I don't usually go full metal; I think most of my leanings go towards “nu metal,“ but I used to listen to Lacuna Coil a fair amount, and my brother turned me on to If These Trees Could Talk. I think they are considered “post-rock,“ though.

I dunno, I get confused with sub-genres. “Epitaph“ is pretty good. I liked when the violins kicked in! Thanks for sharing.

InkedBookworm13 @TieDyeDude I think they change the sub categories for music every few years, it gets so confusing. I like nu metal alot, and I've seen Lacuna Coil in concert but that was in the early 2000s. I also listen to ITTCT. You should check out John 5. He also does guitar with no lyrics, and it's a mix of all kinds of musical influences. 8mo
